Purpose of the Position:

The Manager, Enterprise Data will lead the Enterprise Data Management Team from both a managerial and architectural perspective. This role will serve as the organization’s data champion and liaison to the business, while cultivating, mentoring, and leading the team that will implement and execute their data vision while being very hands on in the day to day execution.

The Manager, Enterprise Data reports to the Senior Director, Data and Software Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Functional:

  • Ensure that all project participants are fully informed and educated on the impact (positive or negative) their project will have on UMA’s Enterprise Data. Understand and successfully communicate how data is, or will be, used, the implications on people, process and technology.
  • Become the liaison between the data consumer representatives and the data solution development, integration and governance teams as well as be able to serve as the lead architect on major data related projects.
  • Create and enforce a set of overall standards for documenting development requirements for all data centric projects, reports, and bug/break fixes.
  • Ensure all project development efforts regardless of size are properly accounted for and held to a high standard of data integrity, provide visibility to all stakeholders, and align with all the overall data goals and governance set forth by UMA.
  • Provides consultation on complex projects and become the primary contributor/specialist for multiple applications or technologies.
  • Guide your team of resources to ensure the technical and architectural goals of projects project are met and in line with UMA standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or the equivalent in work experience.

Position Overview

Under direction of the IT Security and Infrastructure Manager, this position performs the professional and technical work in the administration of the Agency’s corporate and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) network environments.  Requires knowledge of networks, servers, virtualization principles, and cyber security related activities. This position provides secondary support for maintenance and configuration of network software and hardware. This position has knowledge of office administrative software, including word processing and spreadsheets. Performance is monitored through periodic conferences, reports and administrative review.

Essential Functions

  • Plans, coordinates, configures, installs, updates, and administers network switches, routers, LAN’s, WAN’s, cell and Wi-Fi technologies for enterprise and SCADA networks.

Position Summary
IT Project Manager, responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the information technology elements of moderate-complexity work efforts of new business launches from initiation to closure.
