Chris Stephenson and University of Central Florida’s (UCF) Career Coach Alexis Williams reunited earlier today in celebration of the first graduating UCF Coding Boot Camp class of 2017 at the new Fort Lauderdale campus located on Las Olas Boulevard in beautiful Downtown Fort Lauderdale.
The UCF Coding Boot Camp graduates basically transformed from knowing some code to becoming official certified Full Stack Developers capable of building phenomenal software applications from scratch using today’s hottest tools and applications. The school took a science fair approach to the demonstrations so employers could easily see each students finished presentation and spend some time discussing the concept behind the application. There were about 15-20 graduates in attendance from all walks of life who seemed extremely proud and eager to display their work to the world.
Overall I had a great time seeing the finished projects, interacting with students and essentially learning more about front-end software development so I encourage anyone who is interested in taking their IT career to the next level to consider Florida’s ONLY university-based Coding Boot Camp.
